Fluor Tower - Los Angeles, California - Dorm | Facebook
t's been almost twenty years since I first came to Los Angeles. I came to go to school at USC."
"I remember my first day here. My mother drove me down from East San Jose, where we lived, and helped me move into the dorms in Fluor Tower.
"The next day I took her to LAX. It was a very emotional moment because she was leaving me on my own for the first time in my life, and she was going back home.
"The plan was that I was going back to San Jose when I finished with school here. But I think she intuitively knew that was not going to happen.
"I remember I dropped her off at the airport, and suddenly and I was faced with the immensity of this massive, mysterious, sprawling entity of Los Angeles and all of these millions of people. And suddenly, I was here alone.

Fluor Tower residential college is a first-year community and is suite style, with 4 suites per floor and 8 residents per suite. Webb Tower residential college is a high-rise apartment community. Since fall semester 2012, Floor and Webb will have live-in faculty masters and have become two of USC’s newest residential colleges. Century and Cardinal Gardens are both large off-campus apartment communities.
I am going to be joining USC in the fall and I am assigned to stay in Fluor tower. I was wondering if I could get a full review of this tower. I am worried that it is too isolated from the other freshman and too difficult to get to different places on campus easily. I am a B.A. in Theater Arts, if that helps at all for your replies.
Q: I was wondering how to receive mail to my current location and if there is a mailing office on campus?
A: Any mail sent to Webb Tower will need to be picked up in the lobby of Fluor Tower. Simply provide your name and they will check to see if any mail has come in for you. To receive mail here, direct the mail to:Lived here as a sophomore at USC and I definitely had a good time =D
I got SUPER lucky with my lottery time so I was able to get me and my friend in here.
The usual layout is two bedrooms (4 residents) with a large bathroom, kitchen and living room. I lived with one of my friends in a one bedroom so there was only 2 of us! Everything is furnished so we had beds, desks, a couch, an armchair, coffee table, and a little bar area right near the kitchen that came with two big bar stool chairs. It was nice to eat breakfast/do homework there.
Pretty quiet so it was easy to get work done/get sleep (^0^)
Tons of closet space!! great for girls ;)
Nice kitchen appliances
Used to right next to Cafe 84 but now it's right next to a dining hall
Right next to the gym!
Easy to walk to class or the row haha
Your student ID is your key to your room!! So handy.
Student Health center is right there too
No microwave included...
Bathroom was pretty small but since there were only two of us it wasn't that bad
Elevators are pretty slow

Thus many Fluor employees with sophisticated expertise worked as laborers until business improved. Also during the Depression, Fluor registered patents on two of the company founders inventions.
